They could be touched in, although our honest recommendation is to repaint it properly rather than patch it. The galvanising underneath is intact, so the steel is protected whatever the paint looks like.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eRe-powdercoated in any colour, 1 to 2 weeks.\u003c\/strong\u003e We recoat it in the RAL Classic colour of your choice, so you are not stuck with black, and it arrives finished. Tell us the colour reference with your order.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEither way it is cheaper than a made to measure one and quicker, because a new Birkby is 3 to 6 weeks from order.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhat the Birkby is\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGalvanised mild steel with solid flat bar horizontal rails, 12mm solid square infill bars at compliant centres, and the criss-cross feature panel that appears on nothing else we make. Fully welded, built in our Sheffield workshop to the same specification as every other Birkby.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOne difference from the photograph.\u003c\/strong\u003e The main picture shows a standard Birkby. This particular balcony has a full length fixing flat down each side, running the full height of the frame, rather than the shorter fixing points shown in the photo.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUKCA marked to \u003ca href=\"\/pages\/ukca-certified-balustrade-balcony-staircase\"\u003eBS EN 1090-2\u003c\/a\u003e, execution class EXC2. Designed in accordance with BS 6180 \u003cstrong\u003efor domestic use\u003c\/strong\u003e, at 0.74kN\/m loading and 1100mm high. If it is going into anything other than a private dwelling, ask us first.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eCondition and warranty\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 10 year structural warranty applies as it would to any Birkby. The finish is a different matter: bought as it is, the black paintwork is sold as seen, scuffs included, and is the reason for the price. Bought re-powdercoated, the new coating is covered as normal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eFixings and installation\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEvery fixing needed to assemble the balcony is supplied. \u003cstrong\u003eWall fixings are not.\u003c\/strong\u003e The right anchor depends on what your building is made of, and that is not a call we can make from here.
