A traditional style glass porch canopy: 8mm toughened safety glass carried on 10mm thick decorative steel arms, hot dip galvanised and then powdercoated.

This is the one for a period property or anywhere a run of brushed stainless would look wrong. You get the practical benefit of a glass canopy, which is light through to the doorway rather than a dark porch, with ironwork that suits an older frontage. Powdercoated to your colour, so it can match existing railings, gates or rainwater goods.

How it is built

10mm thick canopy arms, decorative profile
Hot dip galvanised and then powdercoated, so there is zinc under the colour rather than paint on bare steel
8mm toughened safety glass, all edges polished
Mild steel grade S275, manufactured to BS EN 1090-2 execution class EXC2
Supplied with 8 off M8 coach screws and wall plugs
Clear glass as standard, frosted available on any width

Choosing a width

1350 x 600mm, no additional bracing
1600 x 600mm, with additional bracing
1800 x 600mm, with additional bracing

The two wider sizes carry extra bracing to carry the span, which is where the jump in price comes from. The projection stays at 600mm across all three.

Colours

Black, anthracite grey (RAL 7016) and white are our standard colours at no extra cost. Any other RAL is available to order. If you are matching existing ironwork, pick the Other option and tell us the RAL reference when you order.

What is included, and fitting it

All the steelwork and glass as pictured, fixings for both timber and masonry, and basic fixing instructions. Assembly is manageable with reasonable DIY skills and we are a phone call away on 0114 243 9009 if you get stuck.

What matters is what you are fixing into. The wall has to be sound and capable of carrying the canopy, and on an older property that is worth checking properly, soft lime mortar and spalled brick being common enough. Check the substrate before you order rather than after the pallet turns up. We can also install it for you, so ask us for a price if you would rather not fit it yourself.
