Glass Door Canopies
Steel and glass entrance canopies, made in our own Sheffield workshop. Brushed marine grade stainless steel brackets carrying 8mm toughened safety glass, in five widths from 1140mm to 2200mm or made to fit your opening.
What a canopy is actually for
Keeping the rain off while you find your keys is the obvious part. The one that costs money if you ignore it is the door itself. A front door with nothing over it takes weather directly, and on a timber door that means swelling, sticking and a paint finish that fails years early. A canopy is cheaper than a door.
How ours are built
42mm marine grade G316 stainless steel brackets with a brushed finish, 8mm toughened safety glass with all edges polished, and stainless glass clamps and wall fittings. G316 is the grade specified near the coast, and it is a genuinely different material from the 304 that most budget canopies use.
Clear glass is standard and frosted is available on any width. The two smallest widths are held in stock in clear glass, so they ship in days rather than weeks.
Before you order
Check what you are fixing into. The wall has to be sound and able to carry the canopy, and that is worth establishing before the pallet arrives rather than after. Fixings for both timber and masonry are supplied, along with basic fixing instructions, and assembly is within reach of reasonable DIY skills.
Measure the opening rather than the door, and allow for the canopy sitting wider than the opening it covers. The width bands are set out on the listing.
Bespoke sizes
Anything outside the standard widths is made to order. Email sales@diomet.co.uk with the opening width and a photo of the doorway and we will price it. We have been making architectural metalwork and structural glass in Sheffield for 35+ years, so a one off size is routine rather than awkward.
