A galvanised steel ground socket to suit our 48mm medium duty shade sail post. The socket is set into the footing and the post drops into it, so the post can be lifted out and the garden cleared completely. Useful on a lawn you mow, or where the sail only goes up for the summer.
This socket fits the 48mm post only. It will not take our 60mm heavy duty post, and there is no socket for that size: the 60mm post is designed to be concreted straight into the ground. If being able to lift the posts out matters to you, order the 48mm post with this socket.

- Diameter: 60mm outside diameter

Before you order
A socket only works as well as the footing it sits in. How big and deep that footing needs to be depends on your sail area, post height, exposure and ground conditions, so that decision rests with you or your groundworker. Our shade sail post guide covers what to weigh up.
If you want the socket to sit flush with a lawn or paving, say so when you order and we will tell you how we would set it.
Made to order
Made to order rather than held in stock, typically two to three weeks alongside the posts. As a made to order item it cannot be returned as an unwanted purchase, so please check the size before ordering. See our returns information.
