Made to order. This is manufactured for your order rather than supplied from stock, so it cannot be returned or refunded as an unwanted purchase. Returns information.
The sizes above are price bands, not fixed sizes. Pick the next size up from your own, so the band is equal to or larger than your panel in both directions, then send us your exact sizes and we will confirm them back to you before anything is made. For a size outside this list, or if you are working to a date, ask us, and see our guide lead times by product.
39mm walk-on floor glass, cut to your size. Our heaviest floor build, toughened and laminated, supplied as glass only, ready to seat into your own opening or frame.
Build and finish
- 39mm toughened and laminated
- Polished edges as standard, with a 5mm radius to each corner
- Glass only. Framed walk-on glass floor units are available as complete assemblies in 25.5mm, 31.5mm and 33mm.
What it suits
Generally a commercial floor thickness: busier foot traffic, public and retail floors, and the longest spans we supply. Most domestic jobs are well served by 31.5mm or 33mm, so if you are looking at 39mm for a house it is worth sending us the details first rather than paying for glass you may not need.
Weight is the practical limit here. Sizes on this page run up to 2000 x 1000mm, and anything larger is quoted individually. Even at that size, 39mm glass is close to 200kg, so plan the offload before the wagon arrives.
Options on this page
Invisible non-slip treatment, PTV 68, with no visible change to the glass. It improves grip on wet glass but does not remove the risk, so wet glass remains a slip hazard. The coating is at its most effective in dry conditions. The full wet and dry pendulum figures, and what the treatment can and cannot be applied to, are on our anti-slip glass treatment page. Painted black borders at 50mm or up to 100mm wide, set between the laminated layers so they cannot wear off; other widths and frosted borders are available on request. Ritec ClearShield, an antimicrobial underside treatment that resists mould and helps water run off.
What each option does, and how thickness relates to span, is covered in our walk-on glass floor buying guide. For loadings and building control, see the glass floor building regulations guide.
Furniture is a separate question from foot traffic. We do not recommend standing chairs or tables on floor glass, and we do not advise on whether a particular piece is acceptable on a particular panel. Our buying guide explains why, and what to do if it is going on the glass anyway.
Sizes
Pick the next size band up from your own panel, so the band is equal to or larger than your glass in both directions, then send us your exact sizes and we will confirm them back to you before anything is made. Holes, notches, cut-outs and shaped panels are priced individually, so tell us what you need before you order and we will price it. Panels larger than 2000 x 1000mm are quoted individually, subject to confirming you can offload them safely.
Guidance here is offered in good faith to help you order the right thing. It is not a structural specification. Suitability for your opening remains with you, your engineer or your building control body. The full note is in the buying guide.
Need a frame as well? This listing is for the glass panel on its own. We supply framed walk-on glass floor units as complete assemblies in 25.5mm, 31.5mm and 33mm. For a framed unit in 39mm glass, please contact us.
