Why powdercoated rather than stainless?
Bright stainless clamps on a dark powdercoated balustrade stand out; coated clamps disappear into it. They are galvanised first and then powdercoated, the same treatment we use on external steelwork, so the galvanising does the corrosion protection underneath and the coating gives the colour. That makes them suitable outdoors, unlike our plated internal clamps.
