You choose the fixing, not us
Most glass clamps on the market arrive with a thread already set into the back. That decides what you can fix into before you have even seen the structure, and if the substrate turns out to be something else you are stuck.
These are built the other way round. The back part takes whatever fixing suits what you are fixing into, so the same adapter works into timber, masonry, steel or anything else on site. Change the fixing, not the bracket.
How they go together
- Fix the back part to the structure, using the fixing of your choice for that substrate
- Screw the rear of the clamp onto the back part
- Locate the glass
- Fit the front part of the clamp and tighten
Because the bracket adjusts after it is fixed, you can take up the tolerance in a structure that is not perfectly true and bring every panel onto the same line. On a long run that is the difference between a balustrade that looks made and one that looks fitted.
Holes in the glass
Each adapter passes through the panel, so the glass needs a hole of at least 24mm diameter at every fixing point. Holes are drilled before the glass goes through the toughening furnace and cannot be added afterwards.
Send us the hole positions and diameters with your sizes before you order and we will price the panels with the holes in. Holes are priced individually.
Fitting note
Side fixing means the glass hangs off the edge of the structure instead of standing on the surface, which keeps the full width of a deck or landing usable. That is usually the reason people choose it. Pick the offset to suit how far the glass needs to sit clear of the fascia or cladding.
Which glass
These take the heavier panels: 13.5mm, 15mm, 17.5mm and 21.5mm. For 8mm to 12mm glass use our glass clamps instead.
